Counseling – Another Beginning

If you think about it, life is a series of new beginnings.  Each day, each moment, brings an opportunity to begin again. Something is always ending, making way for something new.  We can make the same choices or try something different.  We can look at a situation the way we always have, or we can find a new perspective.  Whether we are focused internally or externally, each instant in our lives is filled with infinite potential.

It is with this intention that I opened a private counseling practice on November 1, 2012.  I believe that we have the solutions to our life’s concerns within ourselves.  Through sharing our stories, letting go of their content and focusing on our experience of them, we initiate greater self and other awareness, and can uncover previously unseen meanings and options.  Our reactivity is reduced and we become more open to the fullness of our life experience.  We free ourselves to choose improved responses to life’s challenges, to live with intentionality, joy and love.

My work is based on a model of wellness which shows that we live most fully when our social, intellectual, physical, emotional, occupational and spiritual needs are in balance.  This holistic systems approach addresses our individual multi-dimensionality and our interconnectedness with the world around us.  If we change one part of a system, it affects the rest of the system.  Significant and lasting improvements to your  quality of life are possible and it is never too late to begin.
