I work with adolescents, adults and elders, as well as couples and groups.  In addition to providing counseling and psychotherapy for mental health concerns (like depression and anxiety), I assist people in coping with chronic physical or emotional pain, managing life transitions (like adoption, divorce, and career changes), in stress reduction, and in improving health and well-being.  My goal is to help you become more engaged, effective and satisfied with your life.

I do not participate in Managed Care through insurance companies.  I can provide a receipt to you should you wish to seek reimbursement.  If you want to understand why, read my recent blog.

Yet sometimes your life experiences can throw you off balance. They may disturb your connections to others and distort the way you perceive the world around you. At times like this, getting support from someone on the outside can help you find your way and create the life you desire. If you feel stuck, we can work together to help you develop clarity about what is going on.  Together we can find new ways to view and experience yourself and others, and make healthier choices.  The result can be greater calmness, peace of mind and more satisfaction in moving towards what you truly want in life.

My primary focus is on the present and providing you practical tools that will reduce your suffering and promote positive and healthy change.  However, we will likely explore past patterns and events.  The emphasis will be on what you can do right now to find clarity and make effective adjustments.  You will learn to focus your energy on what is most important. You can find your power to take charge of the direction and content of your life.
